About Us

Welcome to Mayberry Farms, where our family is dedicated to cultivating a lasting legacy of stewardship, quality, and community. We’re committed to ensuring that future generations inherit not just our produce and livestock, but a way of life that values tradition, hard work, and meaningful connections.

At Mayberry, we are about preserving the integrity of small farms, including those of minority farmers like us. We focus on nurturing a farming approach that values authenticity and the bonds we build with our neighbors and customers.

I'm Melissa Struebing, the owner of Mayberry Farms. Leaving behind the confines of an office, I discovered my true purpose here. Every time I lock the gate at the end of the day, I feel a deep sense of accomplishment. Whether it’s witnessing the birth of a newborn calf or receiving a neighbor’s help finding a runaway cow, these moments reaffirm that farming is where I belong. We’re excited to share our journey with you and welcome you into our farm family.

“Farming is about navigating the unpredictable rhythms of Mother Nature and learning to adapt, just as farmers have for generations.”

I’ve learned that farming isn't about giving up everything; it's about integrating elements of our everyday lives into this new journey. Whether it's donning your favorite Lululemon leggings in the barn or wearing your Gucci rain boots in the field (yes, my farming boots are Gucci and I’m proud of it) or appreciating the practicality of the tools we use, we've found a balance that works.

Farming isn't one-size-fits-all; we’ve learned to adapt the process to fit our needs and our lifestyle while respecting the integrity of what it means to farm.

Every day we're reminded of the power of community. We're grateful for the support of our neighbors and embrace the symbiotic relationship between farm and society. It's a different mentality, a mutual understanding of shared values and interconnectedness.

So, welcome to our farm, where tradition meets innovation, and every sunrise brings new possibilities. Together, let's cultivate a future that honors the past, nourishes the present, and sustains generations to come.
